Month of Europe will begin today in Cuba
HAVANA, Apr 9. The second edition of Europe Month in Cuba will begin today and will last until May 9, in the cities of Havana, Cienfuegos, Holguín, Santiago de Cuba and the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud.
Authorities involved in the event explained that it is made up of a heterogeneous cultural program with artistic manifestations such as cinema, music, theater, literature, visual arts and dance.
During the event, the main protagonist will be the seventh art with the celebration of the VII European Film Festival, from the 10th to the 21st of the current month, and other meetings such as the International Caribbean Film and Environment Festival “Isla Verde” in the Isle of Youth and the International Educational Film Festival.
It was announced that the day will reach Santiago de Cuba, Cienfuegos and Holguín with exhibitions, painting workshops and conversations.
The Month of Europe in Cuba stands as a multicultural and multinational event with a view to creating bridges of cooperation, development, messages of peace and tolerance, in which the 17 member states of the European Union will be present in Havana.
