HAVANA, March 23th  Lester Hamlet, director and filmmaker residing in Havana, has posted unusual photos on his Facebook wall of a desolate city for fear of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Official information points to a total of 35 infected and another 914 suspected of containing the Covid-19 disease, which is why the Cuban people seem to have become aware and at least this Sunday afternoon they have stayed at home.

Through social networks and under the labels of “yomequedoenlomio”, “micasaalegreybonita”, “silencioencasita” and “staytentucasa”, Cubans agree to spend as much time as possible in their homes and keeping a healthy distance to avoid the expansion of the Covid- 19.

However, this good behaviour may change when a new week of work and study begins this Monday, things that the authorities have not cancelled because they consider that this is not the time because phase two of an epidemic has not been reached.

That phase involves community transmission without the need for imported cases.
