HAVANA, Feb. 23th The Habano Festival closes its XXI edition in Cuba with the Gala Night dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Trinidad The Habano Festival has closed its XXI edition in Cuba with the Gala Night, thus putting the finishing touch to a week full of activities for lovers of the best tobacco in the world, coming from more than 60 countries.

The Gala Night has paid homage to the 50th anniversary of the Trinidad brand.

The number 1 of the 100 humidors that commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the brand was the star of the night, raising 300,000 euros in the famous auction of humidors. The Habano Festival closes its XXI edition in Cuba with the Gala Night dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Trinidad

During the night there have been outstanding musical performances as the Mexican Armando Manzanero, winner of a Grammy Award; Charles Fox, renowned American composer; or that of the Puerto Rican salsa singer, Gilberto Santa Rosa. In addition, artistic performances of different genres and Cuban talents have taken place, all under the artistic direction of Santiago Alfonso, Cuban National Dance Prize 2006 and founder of the company Danza Contemporánea de Cuba; and the musical direction of Miguel Patterson, director of the Cuban Radio and Television Orchestra.

Among the attendees, the presence of well-known actors such as Gael García Bernal, Globo de Oro for his performance in the Mozart in the Jungle series and Jorge Perugorría, the most international Cuban actor in contemporary cinema.

At the evening the Habano Man Awards were presented, which has recognized Zoe Nocedo in the Communication category, Gabriel Estrada, in the Business category and Justo Emilio Luis in the Production category. In addition, the winning couple of the II Habanos World Challenge International Competition has been the Italian couple.

The night was attended by 1,200 guests and in the traditional Auction of Humidors of this edition have auctioned seven humidors of some of the most prestigious brands, raising a total of 1,505,000 euros and that will be used entirely to the Cuban system of Public health.
