Salsa dancers in online event
HAVANA, Nov 5th (ACN) The Baila en Cuba contest will go online, from November 15 to 20, which from different channels and social networks will allow to participate in the couples’ contest and enjoy the show.Due to the current circumstances derived from Covid-19, it was decided to postpone the XV World Meeting of Dance Academies and Casino Dancers for next year, reported the Organizing Committee of the contest.
As a way to keep the event alive, it was decided to call an online edition, in which Cuban dance workshops, concerts, memories of previous years will be transmitted, record presentations, and for the first time there will be a competition for couples of dances, organizers added.
The call, open until October 30, invited dance couples to send a video with a 3-minute duration choreography, with the theme Me dicen Cuba, interpreted by Alexander Abreu and Habana de Primera.
The video must be sent to the Telegram channel Baila en Cuba, where selectees will be announced on the 9th, the Cuban Institute of Music reported in a press release.
Later, from the 16th to the 19th of this month, all those interested will be able to vote for their favourite choreography on that Telegram channel, and the result will be announced on the 20th.
The prize for the winning couple will be a free full package for the 15th edition of Baila en Cuba, to be held from November 14 to 19, 2021.
This package includes the inauguration, accommodation, workshops, concerts, in addition, the couple will be part of the inaugural gala of the 2021 edition, with the winning choreography.
The event will also be shared from the website www.bailaencuba.com and Youtube of BisMusic , and official Instagram and Facebook pages Baila en Cuba. (ACN)
