According to Belchikov, Cuban-Russian relations are experiencing a boom, which includes not only intergovernmental contacts but also the active participation of the business sector, which shows great interest in cooperation between the countries.
He also added that the range of products will grow and will not be limited only to food: at the initial stage, it concerns meat, dairy and canned products, confectionery and beverages.
The businessmen’s plans include supplying Cuba with spare parts for automobiles, machinery, construction equipment and materials, household appliances, textiles and clothing.
“We want to introduce Russian products into the Cuban market and in the same way serve as a gateway to Russia for Cuban products; our company aims to become a link between the two countries,” Belchikov said.
