New solar eclipse can be seen in Cuba on April 8

HAVANA, March 25. On the afternoon of April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will be partially visible throughout the national territory, according to the Institute of Geophysics and Astronomy.In Morro de la Habana the beginning of the eclipse will occur at 13h 39m 55.1s the maximum of the eclipse will take place at 14h 53m 31.6s while the end of the eclipse will occur at 16h 05m 11.8s the complete duration of the phenomenon will be 2h 25m 16.7s (all times in Summer Time of the Republic of Cuba).

The magnitude of the eclipse seen from Havana will be 0.523 where the coverage of the solar disk will reach 42.3%. The greatest coverage of the Sun for this eclipse in Cuba will be observed from Cabo de San Antonio, province of Pinar del Rio at 14h 46m 20.6s and will be 43.9%.
