Havana International Book Fair postponed until April
HAVANA, Feb. 2nd. The Ministry of Culture, at the proposal of the Cuban Book Institute (ICL), has decided to postpone, until April, the 30th edition of the Havana International Book Fair, which was originally scheduled February 10-20, with Mexico as its guest country of honour, the ICL reported.
Likewise, plans for the Fair in the country’s provinces have likewise been postponed.
The decision was made in light of the current epidemiological situation across the region, given that most visitors to the event generally come from this area.
The evolution of the epidemic on the island was also taken into consideration since the Book Fair is the most popular event organized by cultural institutions in Cuba.
The ICL will provide more organizational details soon regarding scheduling for the Fair.
