Habano Festival Summoned for Next February

registrobilingue-1024x683HAVANA, Dec 11 (PL) Cuban tobacco authorities summoned the 19th Habano Festival from February 27 to March 3, 2017, event that generally attracts over one thousand persons of 70 countries.

This is the meeting of Premium cigars, handmade, most important of the worlddue to the fact that habanos are considered by experts as the best of their kind.

The other reunion that competes with the Habano Festival is the Big Smoke, of Las Vegas, United States, but due to the restrictive commercial and economic measures imposed by Washington on Havana, Cuban tobacco cannot appear in that meeting.

A communiqué of the international corporation Habanos S.A. informed that the venue of next February will maintain a diverse program of traditional activities which combine the knowledge on Cuban tobacco and the enjoyment of the most recent productive novelties.

In this edition, the Festival will pay tribute to the Habano brands H.Upmann, of which will be presented its first Great Reserve, Harvest 2011, together with Montecristo and Quai D’Orsay, of which new bands (types) in its regular lines.

They also plan to resume the visits to tobacco plantations of the zone of Vuelta Abajo (Pinar del Rio, western Cuba), tours of factories, conferences and practical sessions of the International Seminar.

Another program which had great impact on attendants to the Festival is the Alliance of Habanos (with famous beverages) and the International Contest Habanosommelier, of which its 13th edition will take place in 2017.

This edition of Habanosommelier consists in showing the skills of sommeliers or presenters of wine menus, related with habanos, reason why it essays theoretical and practical knowledge at the time of proposing a combination of Cuban habanos with foodsand licquors in luxury restaurants.

The 19th Habano Festival will end on the evening of March 3, with the usual Gala Dinner and Humidor Auction, made by expert Cuban artisans and whose proceedings are destined annually to the Cuban health system.

Master lectures will deal on habanos and arts, handrolling and the history of the celebrated brands in this meeting, among other topics.

The closing ceremony will be held at Pabexpo fair grounds, where it usually is organized. However, it has not yet been informed what celebrities are to attend, as this meeting always attracted artists, businesspeople and renowned politicians.
