Cuban Art Factory nominated for the 8th time at the World Travel Awards

Fábrica de Arte Cubano nominada por 8va vez a los World Travel Awards

HAVANA, February 24. The Fábrica de Arte Cubano (FAC) received for the eighth time a nomination for the World Travel Awards (WTA), an international competition that recognizes,rewards and celebrates excellence in key sectors of the global travel, tourism and hospitality industries.

The creator of this emblematic Havana cultural center, the musician and filmmaker X Alfonso, shared the news from his Facebook profile encouraging his followers to vote for FAC.

“Highlighted as the most important award in the global tourism industry, WTA once again includes FAC in its pre-selected list in the category ‘Leading entertainment venue in the Caribbean 2024,’” the Cuban artist added.

The WTA is considered by many to be the Oscars of tourism, as it is the most important award in the global tourism industry.

In addition to the FAC, other spaces compete in this same category such as the Atlantis Casino, Paradise Island, Bahamas; the Dundas Center for the Performing Arts; and Margaritaville Caribe, in Jamaica.

To vote for the Fábrica de Arte Cubano you can do so through the link that is available on their social networks until March 31.

Last 2023, several hotels in Cuba from different tourist chains were nominated for the World Travel Awards, presented on August 26.

Among the hotel chains that repeated in the list of nominees were Meliá, Iberostar, Royalton, Gran Caribe, Kempinski and Gaviota.

For the delivery of these awards, the opinion of professionals, travelers and scholars of the leisure industry is taken into account, as indicated by the contest on its official website.

In addition to tourism facilities, the World Travel Awards includes other categories, including aviation, tourist attractions, car rentals, cruises, destinations, meetings and events, travel agencies and tour operators.
