LA HABANA, 28 oct. Un cubanoamericano que aparentemente conducía bajo los efectos del alcohol atropelló a cinco jóvenes en la ciudad de Santa Clara, ocasionando la muerte de tres mujeres.El hecho ocurrió en la noche del pasado 19 de octubre, cerca del Centro Recreativo Cubo de Luz de Santa Clara, provincia Villa Clara.
El conductor –que según un perfil cercano al Ministerio del Interior en Facebook manejaba en estado de embriaguez un auto de renta para el turismo– perdió el control del vehículo y atropelló a las cinco víctimas, cuatro mujeres y un varón.
Según el profesor de universitario Maximus Romus, el conductor intentó darse a la fuga pero fue capturado por la Policía.
En el hecho falleció una adolescente de 16 años identificada como Yurisaday, que era madre de una bebé de un año. Las otras dos fallecidas se llamaban Lorelis y Lindalba.
En el hospital se encuentra internada una chica llamada Claudia y un joven, cuyo nombre no ha trascendido, que se encontraba reportado de crítico, según informó el influencer y activista cubano Niover Licea.
Según Licea, se necesitaba sangre A+ para Claudia.
Los accidentes de tránsito en Cuba se han multiplicado este año en relación con el periodo anterior.
Entre junio y agosto ocurrieron más de mil accidentes viales en Cuba, que dejaron como saldo 72 fallecidos y 543 lesionados, según datos del órgano especializado de tránsito de la Dirección General de la Policía Nacional Revolucionaria (PNR).
