Design, Time and New Trends, at Congress in Havana

Forma 2017HAVANA, Jun 8th (PL)  A keynote speech on new trends in design, by Italian Alessandro Biamonti, will capture the interest today at the International Congress of this discipline, to which creators from some 20 nations from Latin America, Europe and the United States are participating.

La epoca del diseño’ is the title of the speech by Biamonti, a researcher in the faculty dedicated to this specialty at the Technical University of Milan, Italy, linked to the exploration of a new anthropological approach by the design of interiors in our contemporary societies.

The theoretical program today includes two meetings, one of them, of high relevance according to organizers. It is focused on the training of professionals, communication and the arts.

‘Diseño ConCiencia’ is the central theme of the event. Parallel to this event will be the International Forum Diversity and sustainable development, with a look at the environmental dimension, endogenous development, anthropology and culture.

Forma, as the congress is also called, gives voice, generates controversy and dialogue, and at the same time achieves this combination between theory and practice, as of the theoretical event and the exhibitions, Eviel Ramos, secretary Executive of the event, told Prensa Latina.

Creators from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Venezuela are attending the congress, and others such as Guatemala, Panama, Peru and Paraguay are participating for the first time. Several countries such as Mexico and Colombia doubled the number of participants this time.

Europe is participating with creators from Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey, the latter is also debuting at these events, organized by the Higher Institute of Design (ISDI).
