Cuban government and Saudi Development Fund sign financial agreement

 Saudi Development Fund,Cuba,Havana,Foreign Trade,InvestmentHAVANA,May 10th The signing of a new loan agreement between the Saudi Development Fund and Cuban government for the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana’s Repair and Construction of Social Works Project, took place on May 9, at the Fund’s headquarters in Riad.

The 26.6 million dollar agreement was signed by Ricardo Cabrisas Ruíz, a Council of Ministers vice president and minister of Economy and Planning; and Yousef Ibrahim Albassam, vice chairman and managing director of the Saudi Development Fund.

With the ceremony Ricardo Cabrisas Ruíz’s official visit to the Saudi Kingdom concluded, during which the Cuban official was received by His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to whom he presented a message from Cuban President Army General Raúl Castro Ruz.

The Cuban Minister’s agenda also included meetings with Saudi ministers of Economy and Planning; Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources; and Finances, as well as with other senior government officials.

Accompanying Ricardo Cabrisas on his visit were the island’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and representatives from Cuba’s ministries of Energy and Mines; Economy and Planning; Foreign Trade and Investment; and Foreign Affairs; as well as the Central Bank of Cuba.
