HAVANA, Aug 6 The group “Cubans in Defense of Animals” (CeDA) invites the community
in general to join “El Perrero”, an event in favor of stray animals that will be taking place next Saturday, August 10 in Havana.
CeDa is a group that with its efforts and actions seeks to reduce the presence of stray animals and homeless people in the capital of the country; this through its focus on rescue, the promotion of adoption, sterilization, deworming, vaccination, as well as the education of people to reduce animal violence.
To continue fulfilling its objectives, CeDA has organized this great event, which will be used to raise funds that are aimed at the protection of animals, and thus help save their lives.
Within the framework of this activity, adoption fairs, raffles, workshops, competitions, and an animal parade will be held.
The event will close with an “animal party” at 7 pm, for which people are encouraged to attend dressed up as animals.
In addition, there will be the presence of DJ Cami Layé Okún, the Logos Orchestra, and the Circus Habana.
The appointment is for next Saturday from 10 in the morning at the facilities of Estudio 50, located on Calle Lugareño, e / Carlos III and Almendares, Havana.
Through the publicity they have spread on their Facebook account, the organizers have explained that in order to bring rescued animals for adoption they must register the pets beforehand.
They also clarify that adoption is a responsible process, so to make it the new owner must leave the adoption form with their data and maintain contact with CeDA.
CeDA has carried out various activities in favor of animals on the Island, one of the most outstanding were its actions in the march of last March in Havana, through which publicly demanded respect for the rights of animals.
