Los cubanos ya pueden viajar a Catar sin visaLA HABANA, 10 Augusto A partir de este 9 de agosto los cubanos que deseen viajar a Catar no requerirán visado, según un comunicado publicado en el sitio web Visit Qatar.

Ese país eliminó la visa como requisito para un grupo de 80 países en el que la nación caribeña está incluido por lo que a partir de este miércoles los cubanos “no necesitarán solicitar o pagar por el visado”.

Con la nueva medida se les entregará un documento de exención de visado cuando arriben a los aeropuertos cataríes y presenten sus pasaportes y billetes de regreso.

De ese grupo, 47 países (entre ellos Cuba, Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Panamá, Costa Rica, México, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela y Rusia) recibirán un permiso válido durante 30 días, aunque podrá extenderse por 30 días más.

Por su parte, los turistas del resto de las naciones en el grupo (33), incluida España, recibirán un documento que “será valido durante 180 días desde la fecha de emisión y otorgará a su poseedor el derecho a permanecer en Catar hasta 90 días durante un solo o múltiples viajes”.

Catar se suma a Rusia, Bielorrusia, Guyana, Mongolia, Kirguistán, Georgia, Serbia, Namibia, Dominica, Singapur como los países que los cubanos pueden visitar sin visa.
Los cubanos deben de tener en cuenta aspectos importantes como los costes del pasaje, del hospedaje y la comida, pues 1 CUC equivale a 3,60 Riyal catarí.

Para organizar el viaje hay que tener presente que se debe hacer al menos una escala en un tercer país puesto que no hay vuelo directo desde la isla.
