‘Yesterday I suffered a fall and I hurt my left hand. This affected me at the time of walking and in certain maneuvers with the bicycle, “he added.

“There were spaces in the competition in which the pain affected me, but I do not think it influenced the final result, because the rivals were strong,” said Lopes.

On the current state of triathlon in Brazil ratified his optimism.

“We are growing, there is a group of women who are doing very well and others who are younger and who could go very far,” he said.

On the other hand, the Cuban Leslie Amat, second place in the competition, highlighted the satisfaction that this result gave her.
