Award-winning Italien artists offer a concert in HavanaHAVANA, Nov. 29 (ACN) During the twentieth edition of the Week of Italian Culture in Cuba a concert will be offered by the Cuban Monica Marziota and Niccolo Fabi at the theater of the National Museum of Fine Arts, of this capital.

Monica Marziota, «MoMa», is the first Latin American artist to receive the Lunezia International Pop Award 2017 last August, a recognition granted to Andrea Bocelli, Gianni Morandi, Laura Pausini, Charles Aznavour and other international music greats.

To the top level graduate in Singing Lyric at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and a graduate of the Cuban School of Art Schools, the jury awarded the award for interpreting the most famous songs of the Latin melodic tradition, embellishing them with innovative sound effects and personalized arrangements .

The jury also considered that Marziota is a versatile artist who illuminates with his vein of singer-songwriter nuanced with Cuban genres contaminated with swing, blues and that is able to create a magical atmosphere on stage with a wonderful testimony of his eternally seductive latinism.

Taking into account this important award, the Italian Embassy in Havana included the concert of the Marziota with the Roman singer-songwriter Niccolò Fabi, also winner of the Lunezia Prize (2016), in the program of the XX Week, organized by that legation, the Ministry of Culture of Cuba and the Office of the Historian.

In the concert next Sunday at seven o’clock at night, we can appreciate the performance of Marziota and Fabi who are distinguished by the sensitivity of conquering souls through their own music.

Anthological pieces of the authorial repertoire of Niccolo Fabi and Monica Marziota, of Julio Valdés’ “Cobarde” signature, and of famous Italian works will be part of the concert program of the first Sunday of December, in the theater-hall of the National Museum of Fine Arts for which so many people and institutions have put their best energies.
