American Airlines forecasts 82 weekly operations in Cuba

HAVANA, Nov 12. With 82 weekly operations for the upcoming winter season, American Airlines established alliances with Cuban aviation and announced at the Havana International Fair (FIHAV) that these frequencies can be increased, according to market demand.

Joanka Acosta Ortiz, commercial director of the Cuban Aviation Corporation S.A (CACSA) said in exclusive statements to ACN that the US airline will maintain flights to the airports of Havana, Varadero, Santa Clara, Camagüey, Holguín and Santiago de Cuba.

The board commented that FIHAV was the setting to follow up on the meetings with the airlines that operate on the Island, with satisfactory results.

In the largest event of the Cuban business community that concludes with the doors open to the public, the National Air Services Company (ENSA) presented its cargo services with the fleet of AN-2 aircraft for transfer within the national territory, with a capacity of 1 .2 tons and offers for the state and private sector.

Yaleidy Hernández Vega, commercial director of ENSA, said that they operate from all the airports in the country and provide a fast and safe service.

Joanka, from CACSA, also announced that the signing of contracts between entities in the aviation sector was beneficial and highlighted AeroVaradero, which manages cargo both by air and sea and strengthened alliances with new economic actors.

She described the meeting with the company Cítricos Caribe, for export, as satisfactory, in accordance with its corporate purpose as a commercial company of the Cuban Ministry of Transportation.
