Air China arrives in Havana again

HAVANA, May 18 The first regular flight of the Air China airline, which resumes the air connection between the Asian giant and Cuba, arrived this Saturday at the José Martí International Airport in Havana.The Cuban Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, and the heads of Transportation, Eduardo Rodríguez, and of Tourism, Juan Carlos García, came to receive the crew and passengers of the Boeing 787-9, Prensa Latina reported.

The direct flight will have two weekly frequencies (Tuesdays and Fridays in this first stage), will make a brief stopover in Madrid and will include free carry-on baggage and free check-in baggage.

The route from Havana to Beijing will cost $2,350, while from the Cuban capital to Madrid the round-trip price is $602.

Since 2015 Air China has operated in Cuba, but its services were suspended due to Covid-19.
