HAVANA, June 4th Yesterday, COVID-19 left 15 infections on the island, although there were no deaths and four days have gone by without reports of fatalities. The new infections were all located in Havana, and 11 of them are related to the local transmission event at the AICA Laboratories, warned Dr. Francisco Durán, national director of epidemiology at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
“The main focuses we have today are in work centers, which have an impact on the population. If the measures had been complied with, many of them would not have occurred,” Durán said in his briefing, where he reported that yesterday three people were discharged, for a current total amount of 1,830 recovered cases.
Of the 15 infections reported today, all Cubans, 11 were asymptomatic. Again, women predominate over men (9-6).
