HAVANA, May 29 This video shows the precise moment in which a bridge collapsed on Monday afternoon on the Zaza River, in central Cuba, local media reported.
In the images you can see how the bridge, which was built in 1984 and was more than 100 meters long, collapsed due to the force of the waters, just at the moment when two young people watched the flood from the top of the infrastructure . Fortunately, both managed to save their lives at the last moment.
According to the Cuban media, the collapse of the bridge, which served as a road to connect the city of Sancti Spíritus with the town of Zaza del Medio, occurred during what is considered one of the largest floods of the Zaza River in recent years. As a result of the sinking, this last locality has been temporarily cut off.
