HAVANA, Oct 20th (PL) About 3,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries will participate in the 35th International Fair of Havana FIHAV 2017, to take place in this capital from October 30 to November 3, reported here today.
The president of the Organizing Committee, Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (Mincex), Rodrigo Malmierca, also informed that the fair will be celebrated in a difficult situation, after the damages caused by Hurricane Irma to the country, currently recovering from the damages caused by the meteor.
Malmierca also stated that 37 delegations of Cuba’s trade partners led by ministers, will also attend this trade exchange.
He pointed out that despite the hostile policy towards Cuba by the administration of President Donald Trump, the island is open to a relationship of friendship and trade for mutual benefit between the two nations. In this edition will participate 16 U.S. companies, a number inferior to the previous one.
The official announced the presentation of a new business portfolio, which brings more projects than the previous one and implies a greater amount of capital. It has a novel basis, with the prioritized economic sectors and the strategic axes of the development projections until 2030.
