The Cuban Government approved Decision No. 340 allows the creation of ViMariel S.A, a subsidiary of Viglacera, to build on an area of ​​156 hectares in zone A of the ZEDM, an industrial zone and to exploit this area in 50 years.

At the ceremony, ZEDM Executive Director Ana Teresa Igarza Martínez presented the license to Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chief Representative of Viglacera in Cuba and Director of ViMariel.

ViMariel SA testifies to the contributions of Viglacera in particular and Vietnam in general to the growth model of Cuba, said Nguyen Thanh Trung, Vietnam’s ambassador to Cuba, and stressed that this project was the result of the state visit to Cuba in March. last of the general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong.

In an interview with the Vietnamese news agency’s correspondent in Cuba, Ana Teresa Igarza Martínez praised Vietnam’s experiences in the development of industrial areas and said that ViMariel should attract more foreign investment, contributing to the economic restructuring of the Caribbean island.

According to Tran Anh Tuan, ViMariel wants to attract investment in high-tech projects, production of construction materials, electronic industry … at the service of the Cuban economy and other economies of the Central American region.
