HAVANA, Jul 20 (PL) Bolivian President, Evo Morales, has begun a short visit to Cuba today to later travel to Argentina, where he will attend the 50th Meeting of the Common Market Council of MERCOSUR.
Morales arrived in the Caribbean nation last night and was received by Deputy Foreign Minister, Rogelio Sierra, and new ambassador of that Andean-Amazonian nation, Juan Ramon Quintana, at the Jose Marti International Airport.
The first indigenous statesman of Bolivia traveled from Managua, Nicaragua, with his Foreign Minister, Fernando Huanacuni.
Morales participated in that Central American country in the 23rd Meeting of the Sao Paulo Forum and the commemoration events on occasion of the 38th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution.
Morales will depart from Havana to Mendoza, Argentina, to host the 50th meeting of MERCOSUR Council and the Summit of the presidents of the Associated States of this body.
