Dutch Ambassador meet with the local authorities in Santiago de Cuba

HAVANA, Jun 6th (PL) Alexandra Valkenburg, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands extolled the links between her country and Cuba in her first visit to the city of Santiago de Cuba, where she had a meeting with the local authorities.

In her statements after the homage to Jose Marti and Fidel Castro at the Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, the Dutch Ambassador said her country is having links with Cuba in different fields.

Among the prioritized sectors Valkenburg mentioned investments related to sailing, renewable energy and agriculture, since Holland is the second world exporter of these items.

Valkenburg announced a next stay in this city, for the first days of next month, to take part in the 37th edition of the International Caribbean Festival.

She showed the interest of the Netherlands to widen the links, with perspectives of building tugs, dredges and floating shipyards, among the potentialities to explore.
