Cuban Music Groups Raise Funds for Humanitarian AidHAVANA, Nov 19 (PL) Various Cuban music groups perform today in the great cultural event ”Voy por ti” to raise funds and help cancer patients and those affected by Hurricane Irma.

The concert, organized in Salon Rosado de la Tropical, in Havana, also includes performances for children and their families with the participation of the National Circus of Cuba and the children’s group Los Guaracheritos de Regla.

This huge spectacle will begin with well-known figures of Cuban popular music, such as soloist Waldo Mendoza and the group Qva Libre, Manolito Simonet, Hayla, Aisar y el expreso, Charanga Habanera and Pupy y los que Son Son.

The concert will be closed by the outstanding performance of Los Van Van, the most famous orchestra of Cuba.

The altruistic event is an initiative of musician Leonel Limonta, director of the group Azucar Negra, seeking to provide victims with humanitarian aid, after the onslaught of hurricane Irma, a meteorological event with category five that damaged completely Cuba, particularly by the surge of the sea and strong winds.

The concert will be recorded in a single and will be sold this Sunday by the record label Bis Music along with the Cuban Institute of Music, Artex and the Ministry of Culture.
