HAVANA, Mar. 20 (ACN) Company Irene Rodríguez celebrates fifth anniversary with “Amaranto, the next 24th at the García Lorca Hall of the Gran Teatro de la Habana Alicia Alonso.
Amaranth, a name that designates a plantthat never fades, is the show created especially to celebrate the first five years of the dance group that bears the name of the remarkable dancer.
Five world premieres with a very contemporary vision of flamenco and a high technical-interpretative level, as well as the replacement of El último piper of Havana, make up the program that will be present on the 24th, 25th and 26th, according to Rodríguez, in a Press release.
The emblematic coliseum will be set with the essence that the perfumery 1791, of the Office of the Historian of Havana, dedicated to Irene Rodríguez in order to entertain the first five years of life of the group.
According to the artist, this essence made with woods, spices and red roses, those that give the smell of passion, sensuality, and movement, will become the identity aroma of the whole during their presentations.
Cuban dancer Irene Rodríguez, winner of the 2012 Iberoamerican Choreography Award, has participated in projects with such figures as prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso and pianist Frank Fernández.
Rodríguez has given life to a group that promotes new trends in Spanish dance by merging it with other scenic expressions such as dramatic arts, contemporary dance and national rhythms.
